West Lothian Angling Association was Established in 2011, the aim of the association is to provide, promote and protect angling opportunities within the West Lothian area. Currently we provide fishing for Salmon & Brown Trout on approximately 9 miles (double/single bank) of the River Almond between Kirkton Weir and the Clifton Hall. Our water are split into two beats, beat 1 is all species excluding Salmon and beat 2 is all species including Salmon. No Salmon fishing is available on Day Tickets. Members are permitted to fish using Fly, Spin or Bait techniques within the rules & regulations outlined here.

As a member of the Scottish Federation for Coarse Angling all WLAA members can fish the Forth, Clyde and Union Canals which make up the Lowland Canal Network.
All information about the WLAA is publicly available through this website although the forum is restricted to members. Information about how to join, projects we are involved in, what we are doing locally to promote angling and improve the waters we manage is all made available to the general public so please feel free to browse our site.
Membership of the association is open to all members of the public, juniors between the age of 9 & 16 can join free as part of an senior membership. Benefits of membership include permission to fish all association waters, insurance cover under the association public liability insurance, invitations to special events and the opportunity to contribute to projects run by the association and partner organisations.
